Macaroni Goulash
1 to 1 1/2 lbs lean hamburger
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1-7 oz. box macaroni
3/4 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
1 to 2 tsp. sugar
1 pt. homemade canned tomatoes OR 1-16 oz can spagetti sauce
1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
In skillet, brown hamburger, onion, salt and pepper. Drain. Meanwhile,
cook pasta according to package directions. Rinse and Drain. Pour
cooked pasta back in saucepan or skillet; add hamburger mixture
and rest of ingredients. Add salt, pepper and water, if needed.
Simmer over low heat until hot. Serves 6.
