Caramel Apple Crumble Bars
1 yellow cake mix (18oz)
1 ¼ Cups oats
¾ Cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 egg
4 Granny smith Apples
½ Cup pecans, chopped
½ Cup Caramel ice cream topping
Preheat oven to 375 F. Spray Rectangular Baker (9x13 size).
1. Cut stick of butter into dry cake mix with a pastry blender, until
crumble consistency. Set aside 1 cup of mixture for topping.
2. Add egg to crumble cake/butter mixture and mix well. Press mixture
onto bottom of rectangular baker.
3. Peel/Core/Slice apples, cut into ¼ slices. Put apples in a large
bowl and add brown sugar, oats, and chopped pecans. Toss together
until apples are coated. Layer over crumb crust. Sprinkle remaining
1 cup crumble mixture over top of apples.
4. Bake 30 minutes.
5. Remove and immediately drizzle caramel ice cream topping over dessert.
Cool for 30 minutes and cut and serve! 6. Serve with vanilla ice cream
or whipped topping.
